Stenbock Palace was built in 1640 by Fredrik Stenbock. It was redesigned in a Roman Baroque style by Nicodemus Tessin the Elder. Today it is used by the Supreme Administrative Court. The 1854 statue of Birger Jarl, the founder of Stockholm, is by Bengt Erland Fogelberg.
