Detailed carving from the Khajuraho group of monuments, a UNESCO World Heritage Sitein Madhya Pradesh, Northern India. Most of the temples were built between 950 and 1050 by the Chandela Dynasty. Whilst the temples are famous for their erotic carvings these only form about 10% of the total. Most of the other carvings cover daily life at the time and values considered important in the Hindu religion. Beautifully kept grounds surround the temples and make a suitable setting for the amazing architecture.
