Odeon Cinema, Lord Street, Southport, Sefton, 1962-1980. The facade of the Odeon Cinema, with a fountain in a garden in the foreground. The Odeon Cinema was opened as the New Palladium Cinema, a rebuild of a cinema of the same name on the same site. The facade belonged to the original New Palladium Cinema, which had been destroyed by fire. The cinema was renamed several times before becoming the Odeon cinema in 1962. It closed in 1979 and the building was demolished in 1980.
