GREEK FORM, Directions.—In the left-haiitl part of this page draw thesprig of ornaiuent given in the illustra-tion, derived from the honeysuckle, orantheniion form of the Greek by drawing a central vertical linefrom within an inch of the upper marginto within an inch of the lower. One-sixth of the line from the top, draw ahorizontal line equalling three-quartersof the vertical line, half on either are all the construction lines re-quired. Next draw the ogee curveforming the outer line of the side leaves, starting from theleft and right extremities of the horizontal line, and then theinner curves of the same leaves. Xext draw the central leaf,and the two members forming the husk at the base. When the pupils have drawn the constructionlines, the teacher should draw the curves, on theblackboard, one step at a time, and point out theirdelicacy
