An armed Chechen fighter looks out the bullet marked door of an apartment building South of Grozny, the capital of Chechen Republic of Ichkeria. According to the Russian military 5,500 of it’s’ soldiers died during the “First Chechen War” between the Russian Federation and the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria.
