Upson, of Diseases of the Nervous System at the Western ReserveUniversity, and Attendant Neurologist to the Lakeside Hospital, Cleve-land, Ohio. The situation as it stands to-day is this: Dr. Upson claims that im-pacted teeth and chronic alveolar abscesses cause insomnia, neurastheniaand insanity. The nervous con-nection between the teeth and brain is much more intimate than that be-tween the uterus and the brain. No one answers Dr. Upsons question,and so far, no one has in any way tried to prove Dr. Upson wrong in hisbelief that the teeth are responsible for grave nervous disorders. Wemust then, in fairness, accept what he says as the truth, until we are ableto show wherein he is mistaken.
