This upper guide is very heavy. Themain body is 2V< ins. thick to the top ofwhich is added a stiffening rib SJ/i rising to a thickness of 1^ ins. at the point of support. Of course, in this case,the upper guide must be lined first andthis is done by liners at the cylinder headbracket and beneath the guide yoke bear-ing against the guide.
