Monumental prehistoric tomb with high relief details. Age middle bronze from Sicily. Gisira site.

The plateau of Gisira in the southern portion is characterized by the presence of a prehistoric settlement on the culture of the ancient bronze age Castelluccio. Emergencies are mainly related to a necropolis consisting of oven graves that open along the ridge, these are largely characterized by broad prospect and enlarged often with vertical development. Special mention deserves one of the tombs of the presence on the prospectus, the sides of the opening, two protruding bosses probably indicate an attempt to monumental. The floor above the necropolis was to house the village, here is found a particular structure carved into the rock of circular and slightly raised above the background, this is also bounded by a wide groove. This structure, very similar to that which can be observed at another site located at garnets Old castellucciano not far from Rosolini, seems to be associated with a place of worship and therefore could perhaps serve as altar for sacrifices of animals and that the groove that outlines the base had the aim of collecting the animal's blood.
