One very pretty brunette, named Evan- geline, the daughter of a worthy old Scotch- man, was decidedly the belle. I crowned her with a wreath of pretty pink shells, and chris- tened her the Princess of Bonacca. On Sunday the ship w^as thronged, and given up entirely to the people. Besides our usual Sunday service, we had seven weddings, and no less than twenty-four christenings, so our chaplain had a busy time. The bal)ies were lively, and the consumption of sweet biscuits and preserved fruits enormous.
