We need more space under glass and should like to know whether our heating plant will stand it. Last fall, when we first built the fires, we tried to heat the resi- dence, but got the greenhouse too warm and made the carnation stents weak. We can shut the heat away from any or all of the benches, but not out of the overhead pipes in the greenhouse. The Ijottom of the expansion tank is nine feet six inches above the greenhouse iloor. V. Nothing is said regarding the size of the dwelling house, but it is an 8-room house and it would be a small room which would not need more than twenty- eight square feet of radiation, which is the amount said to be used for the entire residence. The greenhouse would prob- ably require about 400 square feet of radiating surface and the dwelling house from 200 to 300 feet more, according to the size of the rooms to be heated. I am not sure regarding the size of the heater mentioned, but from the fore- going figures it should be possible
