Plant Regal Lilies at a depth of about three times the diameter of the bulb, in rich soil that is not too light in texture. Good drainage is very important. Select a spot that is sheltered from cold winds. A ground cover of perennials or annuals helps conserve moisture and adds to the attractiveness of the lilies when in bloom.
