Arm and Cazenave, a distinguishedvine-grower near Bordeaux, France. Only Part II, relating to sj^s-tems of pruning and training vines, has been translated. ChapterIX was published in Appendix I of this report. The intelligent reader will take note of the differences of climatebetween the vine-growing sections of California and those near Bor-deaux, and will no doubt perceive many modifications of the Frenchsystems, which might be applied here.
