Spindle cowrie (Phenacovolva philippinarum), a well camouflaged gastropod that lives and feeds on gorgonians and soft corals. Related to the true cowries but lacks teeth on the aperture. It reaches about 35 mm. Widespread in the Indo-west Pacific and along the tropical coast of Western Australia down to Esperance. Nelson Bay, Port Stephens, New South Wales, Australia
