Some fine Crusader is coming in, and the fact that this variety lacks fra- grance may be well regretted. Carnations are in fair supply and prices arc stronger, $8 per hundred be- ing now the price for tops. White va- rieties are somewliat scarce, but this is a usual condition for the days preced- ing Mothers' day. Cattleyas are plentiful-—too plentiful for the demand, which is smaller than might be expected for the time of year. Top grades brinj,' $75 per hundred; other grades are down to $25 per hun- dred and even lower. The supply of gigas is increasing, and a considerable number of liybrids come in, the best moving at $1 jier flower. There is no of white lilies and sales drag .-it $12 to $20 per hundred. Lily of the valley is plentiful, and much frame-grown stock is coming in; glass- grown stock moves rather slowly at about $2 to $8 per liundred, the higher figure for selected stock. Sweet peas continue abundant, and remunerative prices are hard to realize. The to]i price is $1 jjcr hundred, and unusually fine stock moves at this fig- ure. Passable j;rades can be had at 50 cents per liundred. The su]i]ily (jf miscellaneous flowers is increasing. Snapdragon is arriving in great (|uantity. and moves slowly at ;^5 cents to $(i jier bunch. Blue lace flowers are available in larger (juantity than ever before, and are bouglit largely for window display, due to their lasting quality. Stocks are in much larger supply, and
