This book set out to explain and illustrate a range of topics for children. The monkeys here are the graceful and prehensile tailed Atelidae (one of the five families of New World monkeys that were formerly included in the family Cebidae). Atelids include the howler, spider, woolly and woolly spider monkeys. They are found throughout the forested regions of Central and South America, from Mexico to northern Argentina."
