Gardens and fountains next to Place Max Rouquette located next to the aqueduct in Montpellier France. Place Max-Rouquette former Place des Arceaux in Montpellier Hérault owes its original name to the proximity of the aqueduct, to the west of the Parc du Peyrou. This square is an extension of the promenade du Peyrou which dates from the 18th century. On May 6, 2006, the square was renamed Place Max-Rouquette1 in tribute to Max Rouquette, who died in 2005. On the occasion of this inauguration, tambourine demonstrations took place.
