"Astilleros Nereo" is one of the very few traditional boatyards to remain working in Spain. They make and repair the wooden boats native to the Malaga coast including the "sardinal" (sardine boat) and the smaller "jabega" and "buceta" They restore historic boats and build replicas - in 2014 of a Phoenician trading vessel nearly 3,000 years old.
