Seligmanite mineral with quartz. Seligmanite is a rare mineral, with the chemical formula It was originally discovered in the Lengenbach Quarry, Valais Canton, Switzerland. It may occur in massive form, as well as crystalline orthorhombic (dipyramidal). The colours range from lead grey to black metallic. This specimen, from Emery, Montana, USA, is 25 centimetres wide. It is partly overgrown with quartz crystals (white).
