Bubble tip anemone. Close-up of the fluorescent tentacles of a bubble tip anemone (Entacmaea quadricolor). The tentacles are usually a dull brown, but this anemone is partially bleached and has lost most of the endosymbiotic zooxanthellae, which results in the pretty colour. However, this is not good for the anemone, since it is dependant on the assimilation products of the zooxanthellae as its major food source. Photographed off Raja Ampat, West Papua, Indonesia.
