English Civil War Renactors Arrive in Wimborne for a Three Day, Battle for Wimborne event. 25th May 2024. Members of the English Civil War Society march through Wimborne Minster in Dorset. The event called the Battle of Wimborne also coincided with the Dorset And Wiltshire Clubmen Declaration, The Desires And Resolution. This was read out to 4000 Clubmen on May 25th 1645 at Badbury Rings near Wimborne. This called for the end of the civil war and order returned to the people's lives.
