Prittlewell, Southend on Sea, Essex, UK. 24th Nov, 2020. Greater Anglia are planning to launch their first passenger services this week on the London Liverpool Street to Southend Victoria line using brand new Bombardier Class 720 Aventra electric multiple unit trains. Built at Bombardier’s Derby factory the units will be replacing much older equipment some of which dates back to the 1980s. The units have a top speed of 100mph and are fitted with power sockets for commuter travellers and under floor heating. In preparation they have run test runs today, passing through Prittlewell
