BERKASOVO, SERBIA - OCTOBER 3, 2015: Refugees walking towards the Croatian border crossing on the Croatia Serbia border, between the cities of Bapska and Berkasovo on the Balkans Route, during the Refugee Crisis Picture of a groupe of groups and families of refugees, mainly from iraq, Syria and Afghanistan, walking towards the Croatian checkpoint on the border crossing of Bapska Berkasovo, between Croatia and Serbia, that is visible with the EU and Croatia flag. This border crossing, near the Serbian City of Sid, was a major transit point duiring the 2015 Refugees Crisis. Also known as the European migrant crisis,this period saw a rising numbers of people arriving in the European Union, travelling overland through Southeast Europe, to seek asylum, as a results of the wars in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan.
