The Coburg Public House on the corner of Sefton Street ( Dock Road south ) and Stanhope Street in Toxteth, Liverpool. Situated opposite Coburg Dock which has been redeveloped into Liverpool Marina and new housing complex. Once a busy area at the height of the dock trade, it fell into decline as the trade moved to the container terminal at Seaforth. The surrounding area of warehouses and service industries also fell into decline and the area suffered urban decay and dereliction.
