Head bilobed, black, with deep-black sutures ; somites whitish, the hairs barbuled, long and pale, tubercles con- colorous, normal; thorax with seta ii. distinct; 1« & 6 and ii. in line. Mature : Grey speckled with pale green, with long blackish hairs ; head bilobed, clypeus large, the lower part pale ; brown, with two pale green, narrow, transverse irregular lines ; hairs short and white ; somites rather flattened, grey-brown, with many irregular^ triangular, transversely streaked patches ; somites 4-10 with more distinct geminate anterior dorsal, rather large pale yellow patches,^ the others smaller, whitish and indistinct; pro-legs pale, with two setoe on the obscure corneous plates. Feeds on lichens, which it resembles in coloration. Cocoon a thin w^eb on side of stone. Pupa pale brown; anal end smooth, with no trace of cremaster ;
