Minng Tombs, China - October 2006; Most of of the Ming tombs are located in a cluster near Beijing and collectively known as the Thirteen Tombs of the Ming Dynasty. From the early 15th Century Yongle Emperor onwards, 13 Ming dynasty emperors were buried in this area. This image shows the Spirit Way, lined with statues of guardian animals and officials, which leads to the tombs.
