The Tubarao on Brazil's metre-gauge Teresa Cristina Railway in December 1978, showing one of the company's Mikados alongside a 2-6-6-2 Simple Mallet. Six of these Mallets were built by Baldwin between 1941 and 1949 to work the heavily graded and curving line from Tubarao to Lauro Muller; a line which was closed in 1974 following disastrous floods. The Mallet shown here is the last survivor.
