London, UK. 15th June, 2024. Trooping of the colour. In June each year Trooping the Colour, also known as 'The King's Birthday Parade', took place on Horse Guards Parade in London. With His Majesty the King took the salute. Trooping the Colour is the highlight of the ceremonial calendar with over 1400 officers and men, two hundred horses and the Marching Bands of the Household Division on parade. King Charles and Queen Camilla travel back to Buckingham Palace in a horse drawn carriage in heavy rain.
