The plant is a modelone in every respect. Tests recently made showed an effi-ciency of 81 per cent. Mr. Read invites the inspection ofconvention visitors who desire to see the boilers in L. G. READ. Wm. Baragwanath & Pacific Boiler Works of Chicago, better knownunder the above name as manufacturers of feed-water heaters,purifiers, power boiler feed pumps, etc., are represented inSt. Louis by Richard Williams, Odd Fellows heaters arie used by the Southern Electric RailwayCompany to the extent of 1,200-horse-power, this being theonly street railway at present using them.
