The Green Horse poster was produced for the Swiss National Exhibition of 1914 in Bern It was designed by the poster artist Emil Cardinaux. At the time a green horse to advertise a national fair was considered an “affront” by the public but highly praised by the avant-garde. It has become one of the most important works in Swiss poster history.
