The fruit is as large as the largest Blackberry, and is produced in immense clusters. The color is a clear, dark red. This new and valuable fruit begins to bear at two years old, and the fruit is very highly prized by all who have fruited it, for its pe- culiar piquancv, making a very dehcious sauce, considered much superior to the cranberry.
