January,2016. Refugee picks up fire wood in the site of the demolition of an area where refugees had built shelters in the refugee camp in the dunes of Calais, France. THE REFUGEE camp in Calais is in the final stages of being cleared by French police. Pictures show how bulldozers protected by security officers have left hardly a trace of what were once tightly packed shelters. The controversial camp, which has been home to around 6,000 migrants mainly from Syria and North Africa, is being removed steadily by the authorities.
