Ismailia, Egypt. 24 January 2021. Medical staff receive the Chinese-made Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine at the Abu Khalifa Hospital, in the Egyptian northeastern city of Ismailia. The vaccination campaign has begun in the country targeting first healthcare workers in 40 hospitals that isolate and treat Covid-19 patients across the country. According to Egyptian authorities Egypt has also contracted to purchase millions of doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech and of the AstraZeneca vaccines
