The road skirts the river for a few miles andcrosses it by a bridge some two or three kilometerssouth of El Kantara. It then runs parallel to therailroad for practically the whole of the remain-ing part of the route, and a flat plain, with a veryfair roadway is traversed for the next 35 kilo-meters.
