The stones at Callanish have a story to tell I am sure! It is a shame they can't speak to tell us what their purpose was and how they were used! I like to think they were a gathering place for the people in the region - these were sophisticated people with well developed societies after all, and social events must have played a big part in their lives as they do in ours.
