John Muir National Historic Site, Mount Wanda, near the John Muir House in Martinez, CA. Muir took his kids for walks in the park's oak woodlands, which later became National Park Service property. The park also features a scenic hilltop meadow, giving it a nice variety of scenery, as well as offers views of neighboring Mt. Diablo and the Alhambra Valley.
