Retailers, Queen Square, Wolverhampton. Retailers include Craddocks Boots & Shoes, Alfred Hall outfitters, Kemp & Wilcox silversmiths and Walter & Waring who appear to be selling stationery. Reynolds Restaurant is above Hall's in Stafford House. The Great Western Railway delivery cart is delivering goods (including Cherry Blossom boot polish) to the shops. Northampton born Stephen Craddock (1853-1925) and his brother owned Craddock Brothers Boot & Shoe Works on Powlett Street, two retail outlets at Queen's Square and Snow Hill and one in Shrewsbury. Around 1889, Alfred Hall started selling quality gentleman's clothing at 12, Darlington Street. He later briefly entered into a partnership with F. W. Bradford - trading as Hall & Bradford, before trading alone again at 11, Darlington Street, and at larger premises at 21, Darlington Street. He then moved permanently to the premises in Queen Square. When Alfred Hall ceased trading in February, 1991 it was Wolverhampton's oldest gentleman's outfitters.
