Underside: fore wing purplish black; hind wing dull opaque black; the mark- ings much as on the upperside but larger, more clearly defined, except the spots on the disc of the hind wing, which are obscure. On the fore wing the spots in the cell join and form prominent transverse purplish-blue bars, and on the hind wing the postdiscal series of velvety-black spots are more conspicuous. Antennae, head, thorax and abdomen dull black. Exp. 6 2 76-88 mm. (3-3-48"). Hah. The only structural difference I can find is that in Stihochiana the discoidal cell in both fore and hind wings is very much shorter proportionately than it is in Dichorragia, measuring barely a third of the length of
