Top of Portico on Beckenham Place House with cartouche and arms of the Cator family, Beckenham, Kent, UK


The mansion built about 1773 for John Cator (1728-1806). The portico was added in 1787 and was said to have been brought from Wrinklemarsh House, Blackheath. The pediment above the portico contains a cartouche of the family arms of the Cator family with the motto "Nihil sine labore" ( Nothing without work). The building is Grade II listed.
