Nicholas is the first Navy ship ever to make a port visit to this city. Navy frigates carry a crew of 17 officers and 198 enlisted and provide anti-air warfare (AAW) and anti-submarine warfare (ASW) missions, supporting expeditionary forces, replenishment groups, and merchant convoys.
