FORT IRWIN, Calif. — An OPFOR Surrogate Vehicle from Hawg Troop, 2nd Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment maneuvers through the desert in order to join the main effort, during NTC rotation 17-01, at the National Training Center, Oct. 7, 2016. The purpose of this phase of the rotation was to challenge the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division’s, ability to defend an objective, in open and urban battlefields, against conventional and hybrid threats.
