REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE (May 16, 2017) Ensign Blake Rothermel, a Jacksonville, Florida native, speaks to a tour group aboard Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Sterett (DDG 104) as part of the International Maritime Defense Exhibition 2017 (IMDEX-17). IMDEX-17 is hosted by the Republic of Singapore and is one of the largest maritime exhibitions in the Asia-Pacific region, featuring a trade show and a series of multilateral exercises and exchanges. Twenty-seven ships from 18 navies along with chiefs of navy from around the globe will participate in IMDEX-17.
