A Marine calculates the length of detonation cord during a demolition and explosives class, part of the Advanced Infantry Marine Course (AIMC) hosted by the School of Infantry-West (SOI-W), at the Kaneohe Bay Range Training Facility, Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH), Sept. 25, 2018. Students that had little to no experience using explosive devices were instructed on how to safely prepare, prime and use them. The AIMC is an advanced infantry course for future squad leaders encompassing classroom lectures, ranges and field exercises.
