Palacio de Viana is a large Renaissance and historic palace famed for its twelve plant-filled Patios (Courtyards) with surrounding whitewashed walls of hanging flowerpots and walled gardens. The Viana Palace of which Cordoba is famous for its annual ‘Patio Festival’, first opened its doors to visitors in 1981. From 1425 until 1980, it was the residence of the aristocratic Marqueses de Viana family. The family’s large rooms are filled with a large collection of paintings and antiques.
