Eagle, Alaska, Aug. 7, 2013 After the 2009 flood, the village of Eagle began considering a move away from the waters edge in an effort to stop the repetitive losses from annual spring flooding. FEMA brought together tribal, state, volunteer agencies, federal partners and other partners to ensure safe, secure housing for Alaskans affected by the repetitive flooding.
