The committee consists of the officers and twenty chairmen of the va- rious subconiinittees. Chairman Am- mann called the meeting for the purpose of the selection of members for all com- mittees who will be in charge of the fall flower show. All officers were present and eighteen of the twenty chairmen. The chairmen present announced the names of their committees, which were selected from a roster of local flo- rists. The date of holding the sliow was next taken up. Secretary J. J. Beneke read a letter from Secretary Johnson, of the Chrysanthemum Society of America, in which he stated that November 8 would be, in his opinion, the best for the open- ing date. The duration of the show was decided upon as six days. The dates selected provided that the show open Tuesday noon, November 7, and close Sunday, November 12. Chairman Smith then presented proposals regarding sev- eral buildings in which the show could be held. After going over the proposals, choice narrowed to the Armory hall and the Coliseum.
