A German flintlock rifle, circa 1780 Rifled, octagonal barrel in mm calibre. Sparsely chiselled flintlock. Set trigger. Walnut full stock with brass furniture, carved patch-box lid and horn nose. Behind the trigger guard a stamp with the coat of arms of the Salm-Reifferscheidt family as well as the number "53". Wooden ramrod with horn tip. The iron parts reworked and partially pitted.
