Meteora, Greece. Roussanou Monastery, surrounded by the huge rocks of Meteora.


This is Roussanou Monastery, also know as Aghias Varvaras Monastery. It was established (probably) around 1388 by the monks Necodemus and Benedict. Today functions as a nunnery. Open to visitors daily, except Wednesday, from 09:00-14:00 (winter) and 09:00-18:00 (summer).
