Too many of them died : Italian, German, English, Austrian, French, Sloven, Hungarian, Croatian, Bosnian, American, Bohemian, Moravian … they rest in war cemeteries, some of them in very large ossuaries some in very small graveyards, almost hidden in the woods, difficult to reach. Troppi furono i morti, italiani, tedeschi, inglesi, austriaci, francesi, sloveni, ungheresi, croati, bosniaci, americani, boemi, moravi, essi riposano nei cimiteri di guerra talvolta enormi, molto più spesso piccoli, nascosti tra i boschi, discreti, di non facile accesso, quasi a voler difenderne quella quiete.
