Surgical instruments. Medical technician sorting out instruments that have just been sterilised. They were placed in an autoclave, a machine that sterilises instruments using hot steam at a high pressure. The rack that was used to hold the instruments in the autoclave is seen at left (steel mesh). The technician is using the manual in front of her to help her sort the tools into the correct layout used in surgery.
