Christmas baskets filled with boxwood, elder berries, statice, heather and rus- cus had a large sale. Various Notes. William Schlatter & Son report a big Christmas trade. Baskets of statice, sweet peas and mignonette were among their leading novelties. Miss Barker had some bouquets for a Christmas wedding. Osterman & Steele did a big business. They had some fine box balls and statice baskets. Several decorations were booked for the holidays. Mark Aitken did an artistic decora- tion at th» home of Eobert Knight, on Temple street, for a Christmas recep- tion. It consisted of laurel roping, holly, southern smilax, poinsettias and bells, and was quite elaborate. Holi- day trade was excellent at the store. Baby ramblers, which were unusually fine, were sold in great quantities. T. F. Sheehan had an annex for the holidays and says that his business was beyond his expectations. He decorated nine churches for Christmas. The Flower Mart did a fair business for Christmas. N. F. Higgins has some good snap- dragons, Harrisii, lilies and cattleyas on sale. For the holidays he had some attractive birch bark baskets, filled with assorted crotons, which found a ready sale. His store decorations were good. A birch bark church, covered with mosses and lichens, added to his interior decorations. Charles Eisele was ill last week. L. D. Robinson, on Main street, says that business has been good with him. He has some excellent daffodils, Golden Spur and Campern
